The Wetware Projects by Berlin-based photographer Hannes Wiedemann take a curious and critical look at where ideas of enhancement materialize. Since 2015, cutting edge technologies and the human body have become central to his artistic work. So far he has covered topics such as bodyhacking, biohacking, cosmetic surgery and genetic engineering. While this necessarily involves extensive research and precise observation of the scene, his photography maintains pointedly subjective qualities in framing and atmosphere.
His work has been exhibited and published internationally.
